Bihar Politics: Mahagathbandhan Divvies Up Seats, RJD to Contest 26, Congress 9

Bihar Politics: or the past few days, there was a lot of discussion about seat sharing in the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar. Now the seat sharing has been done in the Bihar Mahagathbandhan.

Bihar Politics: Lok Sabha elections are now very close. In such a situation, the seat sharing among various parties has also reached its final stage. For the last few days, there were efforts to share seats in the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar. Now the seat sharing in the Bihar Mahagathbandhan has been done. While RJD has got 26 seats. Congress will contest on 9 seats. While the Left has got five seats.

Congress did not get Purnia seat in the seat sharing. Actually Pappu Yadav also wanted a ticket from Purnia. RJD has fielded Bima Bharti from this seat.

Pappu Yadav is adamant to contest from Purnia seat

Leader Pappu Yadav is adamant on contesting from this seat. While talking to an TV Channel, Pappu Yadav said that he will contest from Purnia Lok Sabha seat. Now the Congress leadership has to take a decision. He said that the Congress flag will fly in Purnia. The leadership will tell whether there will be a friendly fight or not. Congress will have Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia. You can be sure that Congress has an option.

Pappu Yadav further said that he is sad about not getting Aurangabad, Valmikinagar, Begusarai seats. In view of the Lok Sabha elections, it was  officially announced after a consensus was reached between the Grand Alliance in Bihar  (Bihar Grand Alliance Meeting) regarding the distribution of 40 Lok Sabha seats of the state (Loksabha Elections 2024).

In the recent meeting held in Delhi, the prominent leaders of all the parties of the Mahagathbandhan were present. In which seat sharing was the most important issue. Let us tell you that Congress had contested on 9 seats in 2019 as well. Out of these, the party won only one seat. At the same time, RJD could not get a single seat. At the same time, NDA had won 39 out of 40 seats, out of which BJP won 17 seats, Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United was just one seat behind and Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party won all six seats.
