BJP and Congress Candidates List 2024: In the third list BJP 9 and Congress announced 57 candidates, know who got the ticket

Elections 2024, BJP Third Candidate List: BJP released the third list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. It includes the names of nine candidates including Tamilisai Soundararajan, state president K Annamalai and L Murugan.

BJP and Congress Candidates Third List, Elections 2024: In view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, BJP and Congress released their third list on Thursday (March 21, 2024). 9 candidates have been given tickets in the third candidate list of BJP. This list of candidates is for the Lok Sabha seats of Tamil Nadu. Congress released the third list of 57 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. In this list, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary has been given a ticket from Baharampur in West Bengal.

In this list, Tamil Nadu BJP Chief K Annamalai has been given a ticket from Coimbatore Lok Sabha seat. Whereas, Tamilisai Soundararajan, who resigned from the post of Governor of Telangana two days ago, has been given a ticket from Chennai South.

Sundararajan joined the BJP on Wednesday (March 20, 2024), a day after resigning from the post of Governor. She resigned from the BJP in 2019 and took over as the Governor of Telangana. She was appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry in 2021.

Whom did BJP give ticket?

BJP has nominated VP Selvam from Central Chennai seat, AC Shanmugam from Vellore, C. Narasimhan from Krishnagiri and TR Parivender from Perambalur. Union Minister L Murugan has been given ticket from Nilgiri.

BJP has already released two lists

for the Lok Sabha elections. The party had given tickets to 195 candidates in the first list. This included many names including Prime Minister Narendra Modi , Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Two of these, Pawan Singh and Upendra Rawat of Uttar Pradesh, had withdrawn their names. 

In the second list, BJP had given tickets to 72 candidates. Lok Sabha elections in the country will begin from April 19 and voting will be held in seven phases till June 1. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.

Congress’s third list released, 57 candidates announced

Congress released the third list of candidates on Thursday (March 21, 2024) for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In this, candidates have been given tickets for 57 seats in Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana, West Bengal and Puducherry.

These 57 seats include 2 from Arunachal Pradesh, 11 from Gujarat, 17 from Karnataka, 7 from Maharashtra, 6 from Rajasthan, 5 from Telangana, 8 from Bengal and 1 from Puducherry. The party has fielded Nabam Tuki from Arunachal Pradesh West seat and Bosiram Siram from Arunachal Pradesh East seat. Chandanji Thakur from Patan seat of Gujarat and Tushar Chaudhary from Sabarkantha of the state have been made candidates. 

Who will challenge Amit Shah?

Congress has given ticket to Sonal Patel against Amit Shah from Gandhinagar seat of Gujarat . Mallikarjun Kharge’s son-in-law Radha Krishna has been made the candidate from Gulbarga seat of Karnataka. The party has fielded Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury from Baharampur seat of West Bengal.

Apart from this, Congress has given tickets to Pradeep Bhattacharya from Kolkata North, Nepal Mahato from Purulia and Parineeti Shinde from Solapur, Maharashtra.

Congress has already released two lists 

For the Lok Sabha elections. 82 candidates were announced in it. The party had announced 39 candidates in the first list and 43 candidates in the second list. In the first list of party candidates, Rahul Gandhi has been fielded from Wayanad Lok Sabha seat of Kerala.  

In how many phases will the Lok Sabha elections be held? 

Lok Sabha elections in the country will begin from April 19. After this, voting will be held in six more phases on April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1. The result of the elections held on 543 Lok Sabha seats will come on June 4.
