Elections 2024: BJP Announces 267 Candidates yet, 63 MPs Lose Tickets, 140 Re-nominated; Know who dropped from where

Elections 2024: BJP had fielded candidates on 5 out of 7 seats in Delhi in the first list. Here the party had fielded new candidates by canceling the tickets of four sitting MPs. Only Manoj Tiwari was repeated in the list. Candidates were also announced for the remaining 2 seats in the second list. Both are new faces.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: BJP has released the second list of candidates on Wednesday (13 March) regarding the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. There are 72 names in the second list, whereas in the first list which came on March 2, names of 195 candidates were announced. In this way, BJP has so far announced names on 267 seats. Tickets of 33 MPs were canceled in the first list. 110 MPs were repeated. In the second list, tickets of 30 MPs were canceled and 30 MPs were given tickets again. Till now BJP has canceled tickets of 63 MPs. 140 MPs were repeated. Let us know whose ticket was cut in the second list of BJP and who got the chance again:-

On 6 out of 7 seats in Delhi, the new candidates

talk about Delhi first. BJP had fielded candidates on 5 out of 7 seats in Delhi in the first list. Here the party had fielded new candidates by canceling the tickets of four sitting MPs. Only Manoj Tiwari was repeated in the list. Candidates were also announced for the remaining 2 seats in the second list. The ticket of sitting MP Gautam Gambhir from East Delhi and Hansraj Hans from North West Delhi has been canceled. However, Gautam Gambhir had told the BJP leadership not to contest the elections. He wants to work in things related to cricket. This time the party has fielded Harsh Malhotra from Gautam Gambhir’s seat East Delhi and Yogendra Chandauliya from North-West Delhi.

Earlier, Praneen Khandelwal was made the candidate by canceling the ticket of Dr. Harsh Vardhan from Chandni Chowk seat. Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, was made the candidate after Meenakshi Lekhi’s ticket was canceled from New Delhi seat. Kamaljeet Sehrawat has been made the candidate by canceling the ticket of Pravesh Verma from West Delhi. Similarly, Ramveer Singh Bidhuri has been given a chance by dropping Ramesh Bidhuri from South Delhi.

Who got the chance from Haryana and who dropped?

In Haryana, BJP has made Manohar Lal Khattar, who had resigned from the post of CM a day before, as its candidate. Khattar has got the ticket from Karnal. The current MP from here is Sanjay Bhatia. On the other hand, the name of Rao Inderjit Singh Yadav has been announced from Gurugram. Whereas BJP has given ticket to Krishna Pal Gurjar for the third time from Faridabad. BJP has canceled the ticket of sitting MP Sunita Duggal from Sirsa. Ashok Tanwar has got the ticket from here.

5 new faces in 7 seats declared in Gujarat

In the second list, BJP announced the names of candidates on 7 seats in Gujarat. There are 5 new faces in it. BJP has canceled the ticket of sitting MP Bharti Shiyal from Bhavnagar. In his place, Nimuben Bambhaniya is being fielded on this seat. Aam Aadmi Party is also contesting on Bhavnagar seat. BJP has fielded Bhikhaji Dudhaji Thakor from Sabarkantha, Hansmukhbhai Somabhai Patel from Ahmedabad East, Ranjanben Dhananjay Bhatt from Vadodara, Jashubhai Bhilubhai Rathwa from Chhota Udaipur (ST), Mukeshbhai Chandrakant Dalal from Surat and Dhawal Patel from Valsad (ST). .

Ramesh Pokhriyal’s ticket canceled from Haridwar seat of Uttarakhand

Bharatiya Janata Party has declared former Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat as the party candidate from Haridwar in place of former Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’. Anil Baluni has been made the candidate by cutting the ticket of Tirath Singh Rawat in Garhwal. 

Who repeated in Karnataka?

BJP has given ticket to Basavaraj Kyawtoor in place of S A Karadi from Koppal seat in Karnataka. B Sheeramulu has got a chance in place of Y Devendrappa from Bellary. Basavaraj Bommai will contest from Haveri in place of Shivkumar Udasi. Gayatri Siddheshwar has got the ticket from Davangeer in place of G Siddheshwar. Shobha Karandlaje’s seat from Udupi was changed. In his place, Kota Srinivas Pujari has got the ticket. Captain Brijesh Chowta has got the opportunity in place of Nalin Kateel from Dakshina Kannada. 

Similarly, V Somanna will replace Basavaraj Siddapa from Tumkuru. YK Chamaraj Wadiyar has been made the candidate from Mysuru in place of Pratap Simha. S Balraj will contest from Chamarajanagar in place of Srinivas Prasad. Shobha Karandlaje has got a chance from Bengaluru North. Sadananda Gowda’s ticket has been canceled here.

Whose ticket was cut in Madhya Pradesh?

BJP announced the names of candidates for 5 seats in Madhya Pradesh in the second list. Dr. Pardhi has been made the candidate by cutting the ticket of Dhal Singh Bisen from Balaghat. Vivek Bunty Sahu has been given a chance by canceling the ticket of Nathan Saha Kavareti from Chhindwara seat. Anil Firozia has got another chance on Ujjain (SC) seat. Chhatar Singh Darbar’s ticket has been cut from Dhar (ST) seat and Savitri Thakur has been given a chance. Whereas Shankar Lalwani has been repeated from Indore seat.

Candidates changed in Maharashtra also

ticket of Unmesh Patil has been cut in Jalgaon, Maharashtra and given to Smita Wagh. Anoop Dhotre has got the ticket from Akola by dropping Sanjay Shamrao Dhotre. Piyush Goyal has got the ticket from Mumbai North. While Revathi Tripura has been dropped from Tripura East seat and Maharani Kritisingh Debbarma has been given a chance.


Who dropped and who repeated in Telangana?

BJP has fielded candidates for 6 seats in Telangana. Soyam Bapu Rao has been dropped from Adilabad. Godam Nagesh will contest the elections in his place. S Kumar’s ticket from Peddapalle has been canceled and Gomasa Srinivas has got a chance. Madhavaneni Raghunandan has been repeated from Medak. DK Aruna has also been repeated from Mehboob Nagar. Garlapati Jitendra Kumar’s ticket has been canceled from Nalgonda and Sayeeda Reddy has got a chance. Whereas Ajmira Sitaram Naik got the ticket from Mahabubabad by dropping Malothu Kavitha.
