Elections 2024 Congress Candidates List:  Congress has released the fourth list of 46 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections . Congress has fielded Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai against Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the country’s most VIP seat Varanasi. Ajay Rai has also contested against PM Modi in Varanasi in the years 2014 and 2019. However, Ajay Rai had to face defeat in both the elections.

Digvijay Singh, Ajay Rai and these leaders got tickets
Congress has announced the names of a total of 46 candidates in its fourth list. This includes Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and many other states. According to the list, UP Congress Chief Ajay Rai will contest against PM Modi on the Varanasi seat.
Similarly, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has also been fielded for the Lok Sabha elections. He will contest from the Rajgarh seat of the state. Danish Ali, who had recently joined the Congress after being expelled from the BSP, has been given a ticket from Amroha in UP. Imran Masood has been given a ticket from Saharanpur. Pradeep
Jain from Jhansi and PL Punia’s son Tanuj Punia from Barabanki have got tickets.
This candidates will be in front of Nitin Gadkari
Congress has also announced candidates for Maharashtra. Vikas Thackeray will contest against Nitin Gadkari from Nagpur seat of the state.
Raman Bhalla from Jammu and Lal Singh from Udhampur, who recently joined Congress, have got the ticket.
The ticket of the current MP from Bastar Deepak Baij has been cut and Kawasi Lakhma has been given the ticket.
Similarly, Harish Rawat’s son Virendra Rawat has been made the candidate from Haridwar and Prakash Joshi from Nainital.
The party has nominated Karti Chidambaram from Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu and Manikam Tagore from Virudhunagar.
These seats were left for the allies
Nagaur seat of Rajasthan was left for Hanuman Beniwal, Sikar seat has already been left by Congress for CPM. Let us tell you that Lok Sabha elections are to be held in seven phases. The first phase of voting is to be held on April 19, while the seventh and last phase of voting will be held on June 1. The results will be announced on June 4.


Ajay Rai has contested against current PM Modi
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi defeated Samajwadi Party’s Shalini Yadav by 4.80 lakh votes. Shalini Yadav has now joined BJP. In that election, Ajay Rai got 1 lakh 52 thousand 548 votes and was in third place. In the last Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi got 63.62 percent votes from Varanasi seat, while Ajay Rai got 14.38 percent votes.Â
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Ajay Rai contested against current PM Narendra Modi and came second.
Congress has so far announced the names of candidates for 185 seats out of 543 Lok Sabha seats. Congress has given tickets to many big leaders in the fourth list. The party has fielded former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh from Rajgarh seat, Arun Srivastava from Bhopal, Vikas Thackeray from Nagpur seat against Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress won only one seat out of 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, Rae Bareli, from where former Congress President Sonia Gandhi was the candidate.
