Jharkhand CM: Hemant Soren became the 13th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. On the sixth day of coming out of jail, he has once again taken the command of the state in his hands. He became the 13th CM in 24 years of Jharkhand.
With this, he has become the third CM to take oath as the CM of the state for the third time. Before him, his father Shibu Soren and BJP leader Arjun Munda have taken oath as CM thrice.
This oath of Hemant Soren is also considered special because he took oath again at the same Raj Bhavan from where he was arrested on 31 January, 156 days later. Hemant Soren is calling it his victory and the defeat of BJP’s conspiracy.

Earlier, the leaders and MLAs of the ruling coalition unanimously elected Hemant Soren as the leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) legislative party in a meeting held at Champai Soren’s residence here. Champai Soren, while resigning, had said that he was resigning from the post of Chief Minister voluntarily.
Champai Soren, who was sworn in as the 12th chief minister of Jharkhand on February 2 after the arrest of Hemant Soren, met Governor CP Radhakrishnan at the Raj Bhavan and tendered his resignation in the presence of the JMM working president, putting an end to the day-long speculation.

Consensus has not yet been reached on the faces of ministers
In the swearing-in ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan, Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of CM to Hemant Soren alone. No cabinet minister took oath with him. If sources are to be believed, the names of the ministers have not been decided yet, so there are indications that new faces may also get a place in the Hemant cabinet for three months. Their names are likely to be finalized in the next one to two days.
