Kejriwal’s Sanjeevani Scheme: The Modi government brought the world’s largest health scheme for the people of the country on 23 April 2018. The purpose was that poor and helpless people should not die without treatment. This scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 14 April 2018 on the birth anniversary of Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar from Ranchi district of Jharkhand. However, many opposition-ruled states like West Bengal and Delhi have not implemented it yet. Now the assembly elections in Delhi are very near. In such a situation, Arvind Kejriwal has announced to counter this scheme that if he wins the assembly elections this time again, he will bring Sanjeevani Yojana. Not much is known about Sanjeevani Yojana yet. The reason is that it has been announced only by Arvind Kejriwal. There is no government documentation of it. Why did Kejriwal bring ‘Sanjeevani’ scheme
Since Kejriwal came to power in Delhi, the health budget has increased by 16 percent. 81 thousand OPDs and 65,806 IPDs are running in 38 hospitals in Delhi. Similarly, there are 530 Mohalla clinics in Delhi, where people are getting medicines, tests and treatment every day. In such a situation, why did he announce the Sanjeevani scheme?
This is a big question. Kejriwal has always described Delhi’s health model as very strong. Till now, he has been advocating the adoption of the Delhi model of health in the country and has been rejecting the Ayushman scheme. Now suddenly, with the announcement of Sanjeevani, questions are being raised on his own claims that are the elderly not getting proper treatment in Delhi till now?
However, Kejriwal has made it clear today with the announcement of this scheme that his aim is to serve the elderly. Obviously, elections are near, so Kejriwal does not want to leave any stone unturned.
Candidates declared on all 70 seats
Aam Aadmi Party has announced the names of its candidates for all 70 assembly seats in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal also shared a post on Twitter while releasing the third list. In this post, he wrote, “Today Aam Aadmi Party has announced its candidates for all 70 seats. The party is contesting the elections with full confidence and preparation.”
