Mohan Bhagwat’s program in Gorakhpur
After giving advice from Nagpur, the Sangh chief reached Gorakhpur on Wednesday afternoon. He has reached there to address the Karyakarta Vikas Varg program. Two different programs are being organized for workers of different age groups. These programs, which started on June 3, will continue till June 23. During this time, Bhagwat is not scheduled to participate in any public program. Former Sangh Sarkaryavah Bhaiyaji Joshi can also join the last two days of the training camp.
Bhagwat may meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday. The meeting of these two leaders is considered very important in view of the performance of BJP in the state during the Lok Sabha elections. It is believed that during this time there may be a discussion about the performance of BJP in the Lok Sabha elections and the functioning of the Uttar Pradesh government. This meeting of Bhagwat and Yogi is considered very important after the advice given from Nagpur. Especially when BJP has suffered defeat in the Lok Sabha elections in UP.
BJP’s performance in Purvanchal
Uttar Pradesh had given the most strength to BJP in the last two Lok Sabha elections. In the 2014 elections, BJP and its allies had captured 73 out of 80 seats in the state. Whereas in the 2019 elections, this number had come down to 64. But in the Lok Sabha elections held this month, BJP was reduced to 33 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The effect of this defeat was that BJP could not get its majority in the Lok Sabha. It now has to form its government with the support of NDA allies.
Purvanchal of Uttar Pradesh is considered to be the stronghold of BJP. The performance of the opposition in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in this area was not very good. But the result of 2024 was very good for the opposition. BJP had to face a crushing defeat in the Purvanchal region.
RSS Leaders Target BJP!
Few days after the election results, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat made a pointed statement without naming anyone, suggesting ”a true servant should never be arrogant. Bhagwat implied that BJP leaders, dazzled by the charisma of PM Modi, had neglected on-the-ground work.”
After Bhagwat’s advice in Nagpur, another RSS leader Indresh Kumar also targeted BJP on Thursday. This statement of Indresh Kumar is also being considered a sarcasm on BJP.
Indresh Kumar said, “Ram does justice to everyone. Just look at the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Those who worshipped Ram, gradually became arrogant. That party became the biggest party. But the full rights and power that it should have got, God stopped it due to arrogance.”
Is Nadda’s Comment on RSS the Real Trigger?
In fact, after a statement by BJP President JP Nadda during the Lok Sabha elections, the discussion intensified that everything is not going well between BJP and RSS.
Nadda had told the English newspaper ‘The Indian Express’ that earlier BJP needed RSS, but today BJP is capable. Today the party is running itself. Nadda had said, “In the beginning we would be incapable. We would be a little less. Then the Sangh was needed. Today we have grown and are capable, so BJP runs itself.”
Nadda was questioned about the relationship between BJP and RSS between today’s BJP and the time of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
