Congress has announced to leave Nagaur seat for Hanuman Beniwal’s Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) and Sikar parliamentary seat for CPI(M). Hanuman Beniwal is considered to have a good hold on Nagaur seat. This is the reason why most of the discussions are happening about Nagaur seat and RLP president Hanuman Beniwal at this time. His track record in the last two elections is such that Congress is also feeling very happy.
BJP got benefit from Hanuman Beniwal
Actually, Hanuman Beniwal’s party RLP was part of the NDA alliance with BJP in the last Lok Sabha elections of 2019. At that time, the BJP-led NDA won all 25 seats in Rajasthan. Similarly, BJP had also won all 25 seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan. Looking at the track record of the last two Lok Sabha elections , it is clear that BJP is making a clean sweep in Rajasthan.
Hanuman Beniwal has also played a big role in BJP’s electoral victory. Apart from holding the Nagaur seat, he is quite popular among farmers and youth. He is also known as a farmer leader. When Beniwal joined BJP in 2019, the party benefited from it in Jodhpur, Barmer, Rajsamand, Jalore, Pali and Ajmer seats apart from Nagaur. Hanuman Beniwal also campaigned for BJP candidates. These factors benefited BJP a lot in 2019.
Hanuman joined hands with Congress, said thanks
At the same time, now Hanuman Beniwal has joined hands with Congress, which is going to benefit Congress. He is also going to work to bring Jat voters towards Congress. From time to time, he has also been criticizing BJP. He left NDA on the issue of farmers. With Hanuman Beniwal’s support to Congress, it is going to be very difficult for BJP to clean sweep Rajasthan in the 2024 elections. Congress also hopes that it will benefit from this in the elections.
On Congress’ support, Beniwal said, “We took a step forward to protect the democratic system in the country and the Congress party took a step forward. As a result of that, today the Nagaur Lok Sabha seat has been given to RLP in the India Alliance. For this, on behalf of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party family, many thanks to the National President of the Congress Party Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and all the senior leaders of the state Congress.”
