In Uttar Pradesh, SP has announced to give 11 seats to Congress. Of these, two seats are being considered as Rae Bareli and Amethi. Apart from this, no information has been received yet about which nine other seats have been given.
According to reports, Congress can contest elections on four seats in Western UP. One of these seats could be Amroha, where Kunwar Danish Ali is the MP. He was expelled from BSP last month in December itself.
Apart from Western UP, Congress can also be given seats in Purvanchal and Bundelkhand. The SP President had already said that he will take a decision on the seats by the end of this month and now this has also been announced by the SP.
However, there has been no response from Congress yet. In the 2019 elections, Congress had won only one Rae Bareli seat. Rahul Gandhi had lost the election in Amethi also.
