Dussehra Celebrations across the country: Ravana Dahan at Delhi’s Red Fort, President Murmu and PM Modi Join Festivities

Dussehra Celebrations: The festival of Vijayadashami, the victory of good over evil, is being celebrated across the country. On this occasion, Ravana Dahan is being done in different parts of the country.

Dussehra Celebrations across the country: Dussehra is being celebrated across the country today. President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Ramlila at the Red Fort in Delhi. Both of them burnt Ravana by shooting symbolic arrows.

Before this, the Prime Minister and the President applied tilak to the artists playing the roles of Ram-Lakshman and Hanuman.

This Ramlila being held in Madhav Das Park of Red Fort is organised by Shri Dharmik Leela Committee. The committee members gave a trident to President Murmu and a mace to PM Modi.

President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the Ramlila at the Red Fort in Delhi. Both of them burnt Ravana by shooting symbolic arrows.

Rajnath performed Shastra Puja in Darjeeling

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Darjeeling, West Bengal to celebrate the festival with the soldiers. The Defence Minister first performed the worship of weapons in Sukna Cantt. Later, he applied Tilak on the soldiers present there.

Accident averted in Kota, Raavan made to wear a raincoat in Udaipur

Dussehra festival is being celebrated in many states across the country including Kolkata, Mysore, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh. Raavan Dahan will take place in the evening. There will also be immersion of the goddess idols kept in Durga pandals.

An accident was averted in Kota during the preparations for Ravana Dahan. While erecting the effigy of Ravana on Friday evening, it broke and fell from the crane. It was re-erected by 10:30 am on Saturday.

It is raining in many parts of the country right now. Due to rain in Udaipur, Rajasthan, the effigies of Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhakarna were dressed in raincoats.

MP Pappu Yadav had a narrow escape during Ravana Dahan in Patna

Ravana was burnt in the presence of CM Nitish Kumar at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. CM, Governor and Deputy CM picked up the bow and arrow to kill Ravana. Everyone was about to shoot, when the bow and arrow fell from the Chief Minister’s hand.

Earlier, Hanuman burnt Ravana’s Lanka. Hanuman entered through a crane. Bihar’s tallest Ravana of 80 feet was made in Gandhi Maidan. This time Ravana was seen in Maithili look.

MP Pappu Yadav had a narrow escape during Ravana Dahan in Purnia. A rocket was being launched for Ravana Dahan. As soon as the rocket was lit, its spark came towards Pappu Yadav’s face. As soon as the spark came towards him, he immediately stepped back.
