IPL 2024 Schedule: The schedule for the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) was announced on Thursday. The first phase of this T20 league will start from March 22. In the opening match, current champion Chennai Super Kings will face Royal Challengers Bangalore. This match will be played in Chennai. The command of CSK is in the hands of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the country, the schedule of IPL 2024 has been announced for the first 17 days, in which 21 matches will be played under the first phase. Earlier in the year 2019 also, IPL was organized in different phases.

In this auction, Kolkata Knight Riders bought Australian pacer Mitchell Starc at the most expensive price. KKR acquired Starc for Rs 20.75 crore, becoming the most expensive player in the history of this league. Australian all-rounder Pat Cummins was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 20.50 crore, while New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell was bought by Chennai for Rs 14 crore.
