Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), which supplies electricity to around 9 million people in North Delhi, is taking part in the ‘National Lok Adalat’ for on-the-spot settlement of electricity theft cases and disconnected connections. The National Lok Adalat, organised with the Delhi State Legal Service Authority (DSLSA), will take place on Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Permanent Lok Adalat-I (PLA-I), Sub-station Building 2/13, Sector-13, Rohini, Delhi – 110085, near Venkateshwar Global School.
Customers wishing to participate in the proceedings of the National Lok Adalat are requested to register by calling the helpline number 19124. For issues related to theft bills, they may write to eac.care@tatapower-ddl.com, while matters concerning dues from disconnected connections may be addressed by writing to customercare@tatapower-ddl.com. Registered litigants are required to carry a valid Photo ID along with a copy of their theft bill or the bill against their disconnected connection. Consumers who wish to settle disputed bills can also directly approach PLA-1 on a walk-in basis with their Aadhaar card and a copy of the concerned bill.
The National Lok Adalat aims to provide an opportunity for consumers seeking an amicable on-the-spot settlement of cases pertaining to power theft and disconnected connections. If concerned consumers choose not to avail this opportunity, Tata Power-DDL will be obliged to initiate criminal/ civil proceedings against the defaulting consumers under the relevant provisions of the Electricity Act, 2003 and DERC Regulations. Further, consumers can pay their bills through various modes, such as Demand Draft (DD), Cheque, Credit Card, Debit Card, and various other online facilities, or Cash.
