IMD Weather Update: IMD Forecasts Heavy Rain in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh in the Coming Hours

IMD Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of thunderstorms and storms in some parts of the country. According to IMD, there will be rain in the areas of North India for the next two days.

IMD Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding rain and thunderstorms in different parts of the country. On Saturday (April 13), the IMD has predicted that within the next three hours, there may be lightning along with strong winds in northern Rajasthan, southern Haryana, western Delhi, northern Madhya Pradesh. 

There is a possibility of thunderstorms and storms in these places

The Meteorological Department said that along with thunderstorms and storms, the wind speed can be 40-50 km per hour at these places. Apart from this, hailstorms are also expected at these places. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain along with strong thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds (speed 30-40 km per hour) in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand during 13-15 April.

Heavy rain with thunder in North India

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain, lightning and strong winds with thunderstorms in western Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Rajasthan from 13 to 15 April. According to the IMD, there is a possibility of hailstorm at sporadic places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and West Madhya Pradesh on 13 and 14 April and in Uttarakhand, Western Uttar Pradesh on 14 April.

After April 16, rain is expected again in Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya. Rainy conditions are likely to persist in Northwest India till April 13, 14 and 15. According to the Meteorological Department, most districts of Karnataka are likely to receive rain till April 17.

Due to easterly winds, moderate rain is expected at isolated places over southern Tamil Nadu, Kerala. No heatwave has been recorded in any part of the country in the last 24 hours and there is no possibility of it for the next two days. Heatwave is likely to occur in Odisha and coastal Andhra Pradesh from April 15 onwards.
