Weather Forecast: Delhi, UP, and Bihar to Face Torrential Rains for Next 5 Days! IMD Reveals Shocking Weather Predictions for Other States

IMD Weather Forecast: An alert has been issued in many parts of the country regarding heavy rains. Due to rain in many places of Delhi and Mumbai, there is waterlogging on the roads.

IMD Weather Forecast: People are in a bad condition due to rain in many parts of the country including North India. With the arrival of monsoon, water has accumulated on the roads in many cities including Mumbai, Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of getting relief from rain for the next few days. IMD has issued an orange alert regarding heavy rain in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Assam and Meghalaya in the next 24 hours. 

Red alert for heavy rains in these states

According to IMD, there may be heavy rains in West Bengal, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh till July 11, 2024. A red alert has been issued in view of heavy rains in these states. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in view of rain in most of the states of North India and Central India. IMD has predicted heavy rains in many parts of Central India, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh during the next five days.

Mumbai is in a bad state due to rain

According to the IMD, rain along with thunderstorms and lightning is expected in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Karnataka during the next few days. Heavy rainfall (115.5-204.4 mm) is likely at isolated places in Madhya Maharashtra during July 12 to 14, 2024. Due to heavy rains in Delhi, waterlogging still persists in many parts of the city. After light sunshine in the morning (July 10) in Delhi, heavy rain was seen in NCR.

Heavy rains in Mumbai have disrupted the normal life of the people. After heavy rains and massive waterlogging in the city, the rain showers are gradually subsiding. Heavy rains are expected in Mumbai for the next 24 hours. 

Many deaths due to floods in Assam

According to the IMD, heavy rains are likely at isolated places in the northeastern states of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during July 13, 2024. Many districts in Assam are facing floods due to heavy rains. According to a PTI report, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) said that seven people died due to floods in Assam on Tuesday (July 9).
