Weather Update: Flood-like conditions have arisen in many districts of Maharashtra due to heavy rains. NDRF has been deployed at 18 places in the state and SDRF in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Satara and Sangli. Pune received 114 mm of rain in 24 hours. This was the third highest in 66 years.
Earlier, 130.4 mm of rain was recorded in 24 hours on 19 July 1958 and 117.9 mm of rain was recorded on 27 July 1967. A red alert has been issued here today as well. Schools have been closed.

On the other hand, rivers are overflowing due to heavy rains in Gujarat. Flood-like conditions prevail in more than 10 districts here. Mithi and Kakra Khadi rivers are overflowing due to 5 inches of rain in Surat in 24 hours. About 1 lakh people have been affected by the floods here. At the same time, 955 people have been shifted to safer places.
Apart from this, Delhi received heavy rains late night and in the morning. This led to flooding of roads. Traffic jams were also seen on the main routes. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rains in 18 states today.

Uttar Pradesh: Bridge submerged in Lalitpur, water entered houses, heavy rain alert in 16 districts today
There is a flood-like situation in Lalitpur, UP due to rain. The gates of Rajghat, Govind Sagar and Bhavani dams had to be opened. Due to this, the water level of Shahzad river has increased. Water has entered people’s houses. The roads are filled with water up to the waist. The bridge near the Panchmukhi temple has submerged. Many villages have lost connectivity.

Roads have become ponds. 12 villages have been cut off due to the collapse of Bijrao bridge. 3 brothers were washed away while crossing the Yellow River in Bijnor. Water has filled up to waist level under the Niranjan Dot bridge in Prayagraj. Due to rain, many areas in Moradabad have been flooded with 4 feet of water. Boats are plying on the roads.
Bihar: Rain alert in 4 districts, no relief from humid heat at the moment
Monsoon has weakened in Bihar. The Meteorological Department has today issued a yellow alert for rain in four districts of the state – Nalanda, Nawada, Buxar and Siwan. According to the scientist of the Meteorological Center, there is no hope of formation of any new system in Bihar and surrounding areas.
Chhattisgarh: Yellow alert for rain in 16 districts, rain in many districts including Raipur since morning
It is raining in Raipur since this morning. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in 16 districts of the state.
