Weather Forecast: The Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog in some states of North India for the next two days. Also told when there will be relief from cold and fog.
In most places of North India including Delhi, there is relief from cold due to sunshine during the day. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding cold and fog in the hilly areas including North India.
According to IMD, there is a possibility of dense fog in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh for the next three days. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog in most parts of Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Bihar and Chandigarh during evening and morning hours from December 26 to December 31.
Apart from this, there is a possibility of dense fog in the morning in Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, West Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya and Mizoram till 27-28 January.
IMD said that cold day to severe cold day conditions are likely to persist in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar till January 30. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Andaman and Nicobar in the next 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, cold day to severe cold conditions are expected to persist in North India till January 28 and after that the cold is likely to reduce.
Cold day conditions will start reducing after January 30 in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. There may be a cold wave in some places of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand till 27-28 January. After this, the cold wave will start reducing in these places also.
On the day of Republic Day, cold wave conditions persisted in different parts of Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, West Rajasthan and Jharkhand. The Meteorological Department has predicted a reduction in cold in these places also after January 30.
