Haiti in Chaos: 70 Dead in Brutal Gang War, Women and Children Among Victims—3,000 Flee for Their Lives!

Haiti in Chaos: Haiti's escalating gang violence has claimed 70 lives, including 10 women and 3 children. Thousands of residents are fleeing their homes, seeking safety from the deadly conflict.

Haiti in Chaos: More than 70 people have died in a gang war in the central region of the Caribbean country Haiti. The dead include 10 women and 3 children. More than 50 people have been injured, of which 16 are in critical condition.

The attack took place at 3 a.m. on Thursday in the town of Pont-Sondre, about 60 miles from the capital, Port-au-Prince. 3,000 people fled their homes to save their lives.

According to the United Nations, the attack was carried out by the Gran Griff gang. They also exchanged fire with the police, in which two gang members were injured.

The Gran Griff set fire to more than 45 houses and 34 vehicles, forcing people to flee their homes.

In fact, there are about 150 gangs in the country, which are fighting each other for control of the capital Port-au-Prince. Bloodshed on the streets has become common.

Haiti’s Prime Minister Gary Conille condemned the attack on social media. He said;- This crime against innocent women, men, and children is not just an attack on the victims, but an attack on all of Haiti.

The government said – the situation is very bad

Haiti’s health ministry said the security situation is extremely poor, making it difficult for people to get health services and other necessary help. Although efforts are being made to provide relief using UN resources, direct access to the area has become extremely difficult.

Government appeals for international aid

Several countries have pledged financial aid along with security forces to help Haiti. But so far only around 400 troops have arrived, most of whom have come from Kenya.

Haiti’s prime minister said last month that if the UN did not fulfill its promises soon, the situation could spiral out of control.
