Shehbaz Sharif Pakistan New PM: Shehbaz Sharif will take oath as the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Monday (March 4). Sources said that President Arif Alvi will administer the oath of office to Shahbaz during a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday at 3 pm. Sources said that Army Chief General Asim Munir, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar, Chief Ministers and Governors of all the provinces will attend the ceremony.
Shehbaz will run the coalition government
Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shehbaz Sharif was elected Prime Minister of Pakistan for the second time on Sunday after easily securing majority in the newly elected Parliament amid opposition sloganeering. He will lead the coalition government. PML-N and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)’s joint candidate Shehbaz Sharif (72) got 201 votes in the 336-member House, which is 32 more than the required number of votes to become the leader of the House.
In the victory speech, Shehbaz raised the issue of Gaza and Kashmir
His rival Omar Ayub Khan of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) got 92 votes. Announcing the results, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Aiyaz Sadiq appointed Shehbaz as the 24th Prime Minister of Pakistan. As soon as she was elected PM, Shahbaz Sharif started speaking against India during the victory speech.
Shahbaz said that there is a need to liberate both Kashmir and Gaza. Appealing to the members of the National Assembly, he said, ‘Let us come together and pass a resolution for the freedom of Palestinians and Kashmiris.’
Demand for intervention from the world on Kashmir issue
Shahbaz Sharif has also appealed to the international community to intervene on the issue of Gaza and Kashmir. During this, Shahbaz said that he has set some goals for Pakistan. His aim is also to include Pakistan in G20 countries by the year 2030.Â
