Trump Claims Pakistan PM Said He Saved 10 Million Lives by Preventing India-Pakistan Conflict

Former US President Donald Trump has claimed that Pakistan’s Prime Minister told him he helped save the lives of nearly 10 million people by preventing a full-scale conflict between India and Pakistan.

Speaking at a public event, Trump said the Pakistani leader thanked him for his role in easing tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours during a period of heightened military standoff.

“Pakistan’s Prime Minister told me I saved the lives of 10 million people by stopping a war with India,” Trump said, repeating his long-standing assertion that he played a key role in defusing the crisis.

Trump has often claimed that his diplomatic intervention helped reduce tensions between India and Pakistan, particularly after major security incidents that pushed both sides to the brink of confrontation.

However, Indian officials have consistently maintained that all discussions with Pakistan are bilateral and that no third-party mediation is required or accepted.

The remarks have once again sparked political debate, with analysts pointing out that India has repeatedly rejected any foreign involvement in its relations with Pakistan.

India and Pakistan share a long history of conflict, with multiple wars and frequent border tensions, especially over Kashmir.

Trump’s statement comes at a time when South Asia remains geopolitically sensitive, with global powers closely watching developments in the region.
