New Zealand Politician Viral Vodeo: A video of a female politician is becoming increasingly viral on social media, about which a lot is being talked about. Actually, this video is of Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke, New Zealand’s youngest MP in 170 years. The viral video is from December 2023. In her powerful speech, the 21-year-old MP is seen making a promise to her voters, in which she is saying that I can die for you but I want to stay alive for you only.
According to the New Zealand Herald, 21-year-old Clarke is the youngest MP since 1853. She was elected to the New Zealand Parliament in October last year after defeating Nanaia Mahuta, one of the country’s most senior and respected MPs.
Mypee-Clark is fighting for the rights of New Zealand. Clark said in her powerful speech, ‘Before coming to Parliament, I was given some advice not to take anything personally… OK Well, I can’t help but take everything said in this House personally.’
Clark does not consider herself a politician
The Guardian said that she does not see herself as a politician, but as a protector of the Māori language and believes that the voices of a new generation of Māori need to be heard. Let us tell you that Maori language is a Polynesian language spoken in New Zealand.
Clarke, 21, is from Huntly, a small town between Auckland and Hamilton, where she runs a Māori community garden. Which educates local children about gardening and maramataka (planting according to the Maori lunar calendar). Entering politics in New Zealand at the age of 21 is not a new thing for his family. His great-grandfather Wiremu Katene was the first Māori Minister of the Crown in 1872.
