The Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) celebrated its Annual Sports Day, themed “Spandan,” at the historic Karnail Singh Stadium in Connaught Place on February 20. The event, held amid the vibrant spring season, served as a platform to foster wellness, camaraderie, and sportsmanship among employees and their families.The stadium buzzed with energy as participants competed in a wide array of disciplines, including Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis, Carrom, Chess, and Tug of War.
The spirited competitions underscored the organisation’s commitment to building a balanced and healthy work culture.In a notable display of leadership by example, Manoj Kumar Dubey, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of IRFC, actively participated in several sporting events. Encouraging the staff, he personally took to the field, reinforcing the importance of physical fitness and togetherness beyond the confines of professional duties.
Addressing the gathering, Dubey remarked, “‘Spandan’ is not merely a Sports Day; it is the heartbeat of our collective spirit. Sports teach us discipline, teamwork, and positive energy. When we play together, we strengthen trust and collaboration.”He further emphasised that a healthy and united team remains the true backbone of any successful organisation.
