Abhishek Sharma’s explosive performance in T20 Internationals: Surpasses Surya to set a major record.

Abhishek Sharma, the young opening batsman of the Indian cricket team, achieved a significant milestone with a stellar performance in the third T20 International match against the West Indies. Playing at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, Abhishek completed 2,000 T20 International runs in just 1,024 balls. In doing so, he surpassed Suryakumar Yadav’s record to become the fastest batsman to reach this milestone in terms of balls faced.

Abhishek hit two sixes and a four in an over bowled by Roston Chase. He followed this up by hitting two fours and a six against Shamar Springer. He also played big shots against Shamar Joseph’s deliveries and completed his half-century in just 18 balls.

This was his first half-century of the series and the 14th of his T20 International career.
