Facing issues in getting rations? Now register a complaint via WhatsApp from the comfort of your home; here is the complete process.

Ration Card Complaint WhatsApp Number: There is great news that brings relief to crores of ration cardholders across the country. If you are facing difficulties in receiving rations, if the ration dealer is acting arbitrarily, or if you need to correct an error on your ration card, you no longer need to make rounds of government offices or stand in long queues. The Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD) has launched a special digital helpline and chatbot service called ‘Anna Sahayata’ for the convenience of citizens. You can now register your complaint from the comfort of your home by simply sending a message to the WhatsApp number 9868200445.

Here is the step-by-step process to register a complaint via WhatsApp:
Using the ‘Anna Sahayata’ WhatsApp chatbot is very simple. Follow the steps below to register your complaint:

First, save the central government’s official helpline number, 9868200445, on your smartphone.
Open WhatsApp and send ‘Hi’ or ‘Namaste’ to this number.
The chatbot will offer you language options such as Hindi, English, Bengali, etc. Select the language of your choice.
To verify your identity, enter your ration card number and the last four digits of your Aadhaar card.
Select your issue from the list displayed on the screen—such as non-receipt of rations, underweight distribution, dealer misconduct, or the need for card corrections.
Type and send the full details of your complaint.
How to track the action taken on your complaint:
Once the complaint is submitted, you will receive a complaint registration number via WhatsApp. You can use this number to check the status of your complaint online at any time in the future.

Other ways to register a complaint:
If, for any reason, you are unable to use WhatsApp, you can still convey your concerns to the authorities through other options provided by the central government:
