RRB Recruitment 2026: Deadline for Railway Section Controller recruitment approaching; graduates should apply immediately.

RRB Recruitment 2026: Graduates have a golden opportunity to secure a government job with the Railways. The RRB has announced recruitment for the post of Section Controller. The deadline for applications is August 14. If you have missed filling out the form for any reason, complete the application process immediately on the official website, rrbapply.gov.in. The application window will close after the specified date.

Educational Qualification and Age
To apply for the Section Controller post, candidates must hold a graduate degree in any discipline or stream from a recognized university or institution. Additionally, as of July 1, 2026, candidates must be at least 20 years old and not older than 33 years. Age relaxations apply as per rules: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and applicable relaxations for other reserved categories.

How ​​to Apply
To fill out the application form, first visit the portal rrbapply.gov.in.
On the website’s homepage, register by clicking on “Create an Account.”
Next, log in to fill in the remaining details and complete the form.
Finally, submit the form after paying the prescribed category-wise fee.
Application Fee
Paying the prescribed fee based on your category is mandatory when applying. Your form will not be accepted without fee payment. The fee is ₹500 for Unreserved, OBC, and EWS categories, and ₹250 for SC, ST, PH (Physically Handicapped) candidates, and female candidates from all categories. After the CBT (Computer Based Test), ₹400 will be refunded to Unreserved, OBC, and EWS candidates, while the full fee will be refunded to SC, ST, PH, and female candidates from all categories.

Recruitment Details
A total of 119 vacant posts will be filled through this recruitment drive. Of these, 50 posts are reserved for the General category, 09 for EWS, 29 for OBC, 19 for SC, and 12 for ST. The selection process involves appearing for the CBT and CBAT exams. Finally, candidates must undergo the document verification process. The final merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the CBT and CBAT.
