CG Liquor Shops Closed: All authorized liquor shops in Chhattisgarh will remain closed on the occasion of Independence Day. The state government has declared August 15 a ‘dry day.’ During this period, the sale of liquor will be completely prohibited at all outlets—including those selling country-made and foreign liquor—as well as at other designated liquor establishments across the state.
The Office of the Excise Commissioner, Nava Raipur, has issued necessary directives to all District Collectors in this regard. The Excise Department has instructed officials to ensure that there is no illegal sale, possession, or transportation of liquor during the dry day.
Concerned officials have been directed to maintain surveillance and take necessary action within their respective jurisdictions.
