Raipur: There is good news for motorists who are dissatisfied with the e-challans issued by the traffic police. The Raipur Police Commissionerate has appointed the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) as the Grievance Redressal Officer (GRO) to hear and resolve complaints related to e-challans. Motorists can now raise objections regarding errors or any other discrepancies in a challan within 45 days from the date of its issuance.
This facility has been introduced under the ‘NextGen eChallan’ system. Its objective is to provide motorists with an opportunity to present their side and to ensure the timely resolution of complaints concerning e-challans.
File complaints via online or offline modes
Motorists have the option to file objections regarding e-challans either online or offline. Online complaints can be submitted through the ‘NextGen eChallan’ portal. For offline complaints, motorists can visit the Raipur Traffic Headquarters located at Kalibari Chowk and contact the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic).
The Grievance Redressal Officer is tasked with investigating, hearing, and monitoring complaints. This process aims to facilitate the review of e-challan-related cases and ensure the prompt resolution of grievances.
