There has reportedly been a lapse in the security of the Rajasthan High Court. It is being said that the electronic system of the Jodhpur bench of the High Court was tampered with and the files of only five cases were deleted. Because of this these cases could not be heard. These cases were of SOG of Rajasthan Police. After getting information about the incident, the police have registered a case against unknown people and have started investigation to get to the bottom of the incident and find out the culprit.
Tampering 5 days before the hearing
Rajasthan Police informed about the incident of tampering with the electronic system of Jodhpur High Court on Thursday, August 13. Police said that 5 cases related to the FIR registered by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police were removed from the electronic system of the court. An employee’s ID was used for this. Due to this, these cases were removed from the list and the hearing scheduled for August 5 had to be stopped. According to the police, the alleged molestation incident took place on July 31, five days before the hearing.
Courts are conducted through electronic systems including online case status information, live display boards, e-filing facility, digital cause lists and paperless judicial proceedings in some cases (such as bail petitions).
Case registered against unknown people
After the incident was confirmed, a case was registered in Kudi Bhagatasani police station on August 12 on the complaint of Rajasthan High Court Registrar (Judicial) Devendra Singh Bhati. Police have registered a case against unknown people under various sections including criminal conspiracy, theft and cyber crime. Station in-charge Somkaran said, “We have registered an FIR and started investigating the matter.”
