Raipur, September 4, 2026: The School Education Department of Chhattisgarh has finalized the dates for the quarterly examinations. For the first time in the state, these exams will be held simultaneously across all districts starting on the same date. Examinations for students from Classes 1 to 12 will commence on September 21. The quarterly exams for Classes 1 to 8 will run from September 21 to 26, while exams for High School and Higher Secondary levels (Classes 9 to 12) will be conducted from September 21 to 30.
Exam timings set according to class
Specific exam timings have been determined for students of different grade levels.
Exams for students in Classes 1 to 5 will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Exams for students in Classes 6 to 8 will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Exams for students in Classes 9 to 12 will take place from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Simultaneous exams across all districts for the first time
A key feature of this year’s quarterly examination is that it will begin on the same date in every district of the state. This initiative will ensure uniformity in the conduct of examinations and strengthen the system of holding exams under a unified academic calendar across all districts.
The quarterly examinations will begin in government schools across the state on September 21.
Formation of District-Level Examination Committee
A district-level examination committee has also been constituted to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams. This committee will oversee the arrangements and procedures related to the examination process.
