The Rajasthan High Court has issued an interim stay on the declaration of final results for the Assistant Professor (College Education) Recruitment-2025. A single bench led by Justice Ganeshram Meena issued this order while hearing a petition filed by Sanjay. It is noteworthy that while the High Court has restrained the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) from declaring the final results, it has allowed the recruitment selection process to continue. Additionally, the Court has sought responses from the Secretary of Higher Education and the Secretary of the RPSC. The petitioner had applied for the English subject. Following the examination, he had lodged objections against the model answer key in accordance with the rules, specifically challenging the answers to 15 General Knowledge questions and 7 English subject questions.
Recruitment Announced for 30 Posts
Advocate Rampratap Saini informed the Court that the Rajasthan Public Service Commission had issued an advertisement on December 18 for the recruitment of Assistant Professors to 30 posts in the College Education Department. The petitioner applied for the English subject and appeared for the written examination. After the exam, the Commission released a model answer key. The petitioner raised objections regarding the answers to 15 questions in the General Knowledge paper as well as questions in the English language paper and submitted these objections to the Commission.
Objections Raised Based on Recognized Books
Advocate Rampratap Saini informed the Court that, citing recognized books and relevant sources, the petitioner claimed that the answers to certain questions as evaluated by the Commission were incorrect. Despite this, the Commission did not give due consideration to the objections. Meanwhile, candidates are being called for interviews without the final answer key having been released. The petition stated that the General Knowledge paper was common to candidates across all subjects; consequently, the disputed questions and their answers could impact the results for all subjects. The petitioner further submitted that if the recruitment process proceeds and candidates are appointed, third-party rights would be created.
This could lead to increased legal complications in the future. While hearing the petition, the single bench of the High Court has sought a response from the concerned officials. Additionally, the court has issued an interim stay on the declaration of the final results for the assistant professor recruitment.
