Amazing Drama in Pakistan Cricket: 2 Players’ Retirements Reversed in 7 Days, Afridi Stripped of Captaincy, Babar Azam Regains Leadership

Babar became the Captain again: The Pakistan Cricket Board is making headlines under its new chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, who has initiated significant changes in the team since assuming office. After reversing the retirement decisions of two Pakistani players within the last week, Shaheen Afridi has now been removed from the captaincy. Additionally, Babar Azam has been reinstated as the captain of both the T20 and ODI teams.

Babar became the Boss again: Amazing drama is going on in Pakistan cricket. In the last one week, PCB called its 2 players out of retirement. After this, the board took away the captaincy of the T20 team from Shaheen Afridi. Afridi was able to captain only 5 T20 matches. Not only this, the captaincy has been taken away from Shaheen Afridi and handed over to Babar Azam. Babar will now be seen captaining Pakistan’s T20 and ODI team.

Before the upcoming T20 World Cup, PCB is engaged in removing all its weaknesses. The T20 World Cup is to be held in West Indies and USA from June 1. Pakistan’s performance in the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup last year was very poor, after which Babar was removed from the captaincy. But then PCB has expressed confidence in Babar.

Shaheen Afridi was judged to be a bad captain in just 5 T20 matches. He captained the 5-match T20 series against New Zealand where Pakistan lost the series 1-4. Shaheen Afridi could not impress the PCB and hence he was removed from the captaincy of the T20 team.
