Suryakumar Yadav played an innings of 78 runs for Mumbai. He hit 7 fours and 3 sixes in 53 balls. Tilak Verma scored an unbeaten 34 runs. Rohit Sharma contributed 36 runs. During this, Harshal Patel took 3 wickets while bowling for Punjab. Sam Curran got 2 wickets.

Punjab bowled very tight in the middle overs. But in the powerplay and the last 5 overs, the bowlers of Punjab Kings conceded a lot of runs. Kagiso Rabada took 1 wicket, but also conceded 42 runs in 4 overs. Captain Sam Curran did take 2 wickets, but conceded 41 runs.
