Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Voting Decreases in BJP Strongholds; Suddenly How Did Mangalsutra Become an Issue After the First Phase?

Second Phase Elections 2024: For 3 consecutive days, PM Modi attacked Congress through Mangalsutra in rallies. These statements tell how Mangalsutra suddenly entered before the second phase of elections.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Second Phase Voting: The second phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is to be held on Friday (26 April). Before this, the heat has increased. The fight is in full swing. Actually, Prime Minister Modi had given a statement regarding Mangalsutra. The PM had said that if the opposition comes to power, it will take away the Mangalsutras of mothers and sisters and distribute them among Muslims.

After this statement, the opposition became aggressive and amidst this noise, the UP CM fired the arrow of running the country with Sharia law. Overall, the Hindu-Muslim issue has dominated the 24 Lok Sabha elections, but the question is where is the election surrounded by Mangalsutra and Muslims going?

What did PM Modi say?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “When their government was formed, they had said that Muslims have the first right on the country’s property. This means that who will they distribute the property to after collecting it? They will distribute it to those who have more children. They will distribute it to the infiltrators. Are you okay with your money being given to the infiltrators? The Congress manifesto says that they will take account of the gold of mothers and sisters. They will distribute it after collecting their information. It will be distributed to those to whom it was said in Manmohan Singh’s government that Muslims have the first right on the property. This is the thinking of urban Naxals, they will not let even the mangalsutra of mothers and sisters be saved. They will go to this extent.”

The noise of religious polarization

For three consecutive days, Prime Minister Modi has attacked Congress through Mangalsutra in his election rallies. These statements show how Mangalsutra has suddenly made an entry after the first phase of elections. Actually, the noise of religious polarization was not heard in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections . The Hindu-Muslim issue was not prominent in the first phase of election campaign, but as soon as the first phase of elections ended, suddenly the noise of Hindu and Muslim started resonating everywhere.

But the question is what happened that the noise of Hindu-Muslim started being heard in the elections? If religion was not an issue in the first phase, then why did Mangalsutra enter after the first phase?

Why did the Hindu-Muslim issue enter in the second phase

When we investigated why the Hindu-Muslim issue gained momentum after the first phase of elections, one thing that came to light was that when the first phase of voting took place on Friday, voting in the areas where BJP was considered strong was less compared to previous elections.

The reason behind low voting in the first phase was that the election has not heated up. No issue has become a big issue in the election, so people are not coming out of their homes to vote and after Friday’s voting, the strategy was made on Saturday and on Sunday, this statement of Modi in the rally of Banswara in Rajasthan became the biggest headline of the entire election.

On which statement of Rahul Gandhi BJP attacked

Prime Minister Modi is citing the things written in the Congress manifesto behind the attack on Mangalsutra and the property of Hindus. He is repeatedly quoting a statement of Rahul Gandhi. When an attempt was made to find that statement of Rahul Gandhi, investigation revealed that on April 6, when Rahul Gandhi organized the launch rally of the Congress manifesto in the name of Nyay Patra in Hyderabad, Rahul Gandhi had given a statement in this rally in which he talked about economic survey.

Although this statement was given by Rahul Gandhi on 6th April, but BJP did not use it in the first phase of elections, but the second phase of elections is revolving around this statement of Rahul Gandhi.

What is written in the Congress manifesto?

When the Congress manifesto was scrutinized, it was written, “Congress will conduct a nationwide socio-economic caste census. Through this, Congress will find out the castes, sub-castes and their socio-economic status. Congress will address the growing inequality in terms of wealth and income by making appropriate changes in policies.” Based on the data obtained from the census, Congress will take positive steps to improve their condition.

The opposition also attacked BJP

There is a mention of economic survey in the manifesto of Congress but there is no mention of religion and Congress has made this an issue. Congress is not only attacking BJP but a delegation of Congress also reached the office of Election Commission to complain against BJP on this issue. Along with this, everyone from Congress to Owaisi and Mehbooba have become aggressive.

PM Modi had attacked the manifesto of Congress but all the partners of India Alliance have made a strategy to corner BJP on this issue of Hindu vs Muslim and hence its noise is being heard from Kishanganj to Kashmir. Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has termed PM Modi’s statement as an early sign of defeat. Along with demanding an answer on the PM’s statement, attacks are being made. Congress is linking the statement to insult of women.

Congress is not only demanding answers but accusing PM Modi of hate speech, a Congress delegation has reached the doors of Election Commission. Congress leaders are fuming with anger while PM Modi once again roared in Rajasthan saying that his one statement has created an atmosphere of panic in Congress.

Amit Shah’s midnight meetings

And it is not that the election is only about Mangalsutra and Muslims. New strategies are also being made for the election. Midnight meetings are being held. On Monday night, when Home Minister Amit Shah returned to Delhi from Chhattisgarh, he along with BJP leaders made a special strategy for the next phase of the election. Elections are on 26 April for 88 seats in 13 states. Its campaigning will end this evening.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah left at 2:15 am after a meeting at BJP President JP Nadda’s house. These pictures show how Amit Shah and Nadda are staying awake all night to plan a winning strategy to take BJP’s chariot beyond 400.
