Weather Update: The southwest monsoon is currently advancing in the country. The northern boundary of the monsoon is passing through Goa, Narayanpet, Narsapur and Islampur. During the next 3 days, conditions are favorable for the advance of the southwest monsoon into the remaining parts of Karnataka, some parts of South Maharashtra, some more parts of Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh, some parts of South Chhattisgarh and South Odisha.
According to the weather bulletin of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a cyclonic circulation is formed over Nagaland and its adjoining areas. Strong winds are blowing from the Bay of Bengal to the northeastern states.

According to the IMD, light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds (30-40 kmph) is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the day today. According to the IMD, one cyclonic circulation is present over Rayalaseema and neighbourhood and the other over coastal Karnataka and neighbourhood.

Heavy rain is likely at isolated places over Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada today. Scattered hailstorms and strong winds (50-60 kmph) are likely over South Madhya Pradesh today.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of scattered light rain with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds (30-50 kmph) in Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi today.
