Diwali 2024 in Ayodhya: India is celebrating Diwali. Every corner of the country is illuminated. This is the first Diwali after the construction of the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in the city of Ayodhya and the consecration of Ramlala. On Wednesday, on the occasion of Chhoti Diwali, Deepotsav is being celebrated in Ram Mandir. This time 25 lakh diyas are to be lit on the banks of the Saryu river, this will be recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. Yogi Adityanath started the Deepotsav program by lighting the first diya. Then diyas were lit at Ram ki Paidi.

At the beginning of the program, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived with artists dressed as Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman in a Pushpak Viman. The CM welcomed them. Then Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman boarded the chariot. CM Yogi pulled the chariot of Shri Ram. When the chariot reached Ram Katha Park, the devotees chanted Jai. Slogans of Jai Shri Ram kept on being raised.”
Yogi performed the aarti of Ram-Sita and Laxman and did the Raj Tilak. After this, Yogi Adityanath also performed special worship in the Ram temple. Then Yogi also addressed the program.
After a long wait of 500 years, Ram Lalla was seated in Ayodhya
CM Yogi said, “Thousands of years ago, after 14 years of exile, devotees across India started celebrating this festival by decorating their homes with garlands of lamps to commemorate the arrival of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya and the beginning of Ramrajya. This year’s Diwali is historic, because after a long wait of 500 years, Lord Shri Ram Lalla has been seated in his abode.”
Mathura-Kashi should see a Diwali like Ayodhya
CM Yogi said that these lamps that will be lit by you are not just lamps. This is the belief of Sanatan Dharma. The people of Ayodhya will have to come forward. Mathura-Kashi should see a Diwali like Ayodhya.
Laser show and light show on the banks of Saryu
Laser show and light show also took place on the banks of Saryu in Ayodhya. Ramleela was narrated through sound light show.
Ramlala’s Pitambari Shringar on Diwali
Ramlala will be adorned in Pitambari Shringar on the first Diwali in Ram Mandir. He will be dressed in a yellow silk dhoti and silk embroidered clothes. Ramlala will also be adorned with garlands of many strings and jewellery. Due to Diwali being on Thursday, Ramlala will appear before his devotees in yellow clothes.
What is special in Ayodhya’s Deepotsav: –
In Ayodhya’s Deepotsav, tableaus have been decorated on 11 chariots on the events of Ram Katha.
– During this, 1200 artists from 16 states gave performances. –
Performances of folk artists at 10 places, Deepotsav was held in 200 temples of 84 Kos.
– Prakash Marg was beautiful till Ayodhya Dham.
– 25 lakh diyas will be lit on the banks of Saryu.
– During this, laser show and lighting show are also happening.
