Budget 2025: The budget session of Parliament is starting from tomorrow (31 January). During this time, the Economic Survey will be presented along with the President’s speech. Along with this, the central government will also introduce 16 important bills during the budget session.
In the all-party meeting held regarding the budget session, the agenda of the budget session was presented by the government. Also, leaders of all parties were appealed to conduct a peaceful session in the budget session.

In the all-party meeting, the opposition parties made their intentions clear. The Samajwadi Party demanded a discussion in the House on the issue of the accident that happened in Maha Kumbh. It also said that a transparent investigation should be conducted on this incident.
All party meeting called
Today (30 January), an all-party meeting was called in Parliament by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju regarding the budget session. Apart from NDA, floor leaders of opposition parties also attended the meeting. In the meeting, the government laid the agenda of the budget session and said that 16 important bills will be presented by the government along with presenting the budget of this session. Which also includes Waqf Amendment Bill 2024, Muslim Waqf Repeal Bill 2024.
In today’s meeting, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the all-party meeting, which is called to inform political parties about the government’s legislative agenda and to get information on the issues to be raised by them during the session. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said after the meeting was over that 52 leaders from 36 parties had attended it.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that a total of 16 bills and 19 businesses are already listed in Parliament for the budget session. Many leaders including Union Minister J P Nadda, Congress’s Gaurav Gogoi and Jairam Ramesh, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam’s TR Balu, Trinamool Congress’s Sudip Bandopadhyay and Derek O’Brien participated.

Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said that the opposition alliance ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (INDIAN) will raise all the issues in the budget session of Parliament. While coming out of the all-party meeting before the session, Pramod Tiwari also criticized the alleged politicization of Maha Kumbh and said that the movement of VIPs during Maha Kumbh is creating difficulties for the common man.
Opposition targeted the arrangements of Maha Kumbh
Opposition parties said they will raise the issue of mismanagement in the Maha Kumbh, which led to the death of 30 people. Opposition parties said they need more transparency in the official count of the dead and injured. The SP said the Kumbh is being called Maha Kumbh only to attract more pilgrims . The opposition said it will raise the issue of the “biased” functioning of the KF committee, devaluation of the rupee and UGC rules. LJP has demanded a special industrial package for Bihar.
