In the OTT reality show ‘Rise and Fall’ (Season 2), he made several claims concerning his failed marriage with his ex-wife, Aishwarya Rai. According to Tej Pratap, conflicts between the two began just three months into the marriage. He also mentioned that the stress in his married life often made him reluctant to return home.

Tej Pratap explained that he was the Health Minister of Bihar at the time and was grappling with family pressure alongside his political responsibilities. According to him, the constant disputes between the couple began to affect his daily routine. He mentioned that there were times he did not feel like returning home, and in such situations, he would stay with friends or elsewhere.
Claims of disputes over religious rituals
Tej Pratap Yadav also discussed his religious routine during the conversation. He claimed that waking up early to perform prayers and rituals was a habit of his, but this, too, became a source of disagreement between him and Aishwarya Rai. According to Tej Pratap, Aishwarya disliked his morning prayers and had even asked him to stop performing them. He also claimed that disputes between the two often occurred in the presence of other family members.
