Twenty-four-year-old Anika Jamal will represent Pakistan at the Miss World pageant taking place in Vietnam. This marks a first in Pakistan’s history. Anika was officially crowned ‘Miss World Pakistan 2026’ in Lahore. Pakistan’s participation in the Miss World pageant could potentially anger hardline Islamic groups.

Anika Jamal to Represent Pakistan
The 24-year-old Anika has previously represented Pakistan in pageants such as ‘Miss Earth’, ‘Miss Global’, ‘Miss Cosmo’, ‘Miss Eco International’, and ‘Miss Aura International’. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting and Auditing. She has also won four titles at the ‘Miss Freedom of the World’ pageant in Kosovo.
What is Anika Jamal’s Objective?
Anika stated that she intends to use the Miss World platform to address social issues. Her goal is to raise awareness and garner support for Thalassemia patients in Pakistan. Notably, the ‘Miss Pakistan World Organization’—established in 2002—has been preparing Pakistani women for international beauty pageants for the past two decades.

Sonia Ahmed, head of the Miss Pakistan World Organization, described her country’s participation in Miss World as a historic moment. She hailed it as a major achievement for national representation on the global stage. Sonia said that Pakistani women are effectively proving their capabilities on international platforms.
