ISRO Recruitment 2026: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced recruitment for various positions. Those aspiring to work with ISRO should apply immediately. Recruitment is being conducted for the post of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in the disciplines of Electronics, Mechanical, and Computer Science. The recruitment process is being managed by the ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB). Eligible candidates can apply online from August 27 to September 16, 2026. A total of 175 vacancies are to be filled across ISRO centres and the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL). These include 99 vacancies for Electronics, 52 for Mechanical, and 21 for Computer Science. Additionally, there is one vacancy each for Electronics, Mechanical, and Computer Science at PRL. According to the notification, the vacancies are provisional, and ISRO reserves the right to increase or decrease them.
How to Apply
Applications will be accepted only through the online mode. Candidates must visit the ISRO website (www.isro.gov.in) for registration. Candidates registered on the National Career Services (NCS) portal who meet the eligibility criteria can apply by following the prescribed process. Upon registration, applicants will be issued an online registration number; this should be kept safe. Hall tickets for the written test/CBT and interview call letters will be sent to the applicant’s registered email ID.
Application Fee
An application fee of ₹250 must be paid while applying. Additionally, all candidates are required to pay a processing fee of ₹750 initially. The fee can be paid online via the Bharatkosh e-Payment gateway. The deadline for both application submission and fee payment is September 16, 2026.
Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from paying the application fee. However, if they appear for the written test/CBT, the processing fee will be fully refunded to them.
