Bijapur Naxal Encounter: 31 Naxalites Killed, 2 Jawans Martyred, Weapons Recovered in Indravati Forest

Bijapur Naxal Encounter: Security forces achieved success 10 days ago in Chhattisgarh, and another intense operation is underway this Sunday.

Bijapur Naxal Encounter: More than 1000 soldiers have killed 31 Naxalites in an encounter on the Chhattisgarh-Maharashtra border on Sunday. 2 soldiers were martyred and 2 were injured in the encounter. The soldiers have recovered the bodies of 12 Naxalites. The dead Naxalites are being identified. Search is going on in the Indravati National Park area of ​​​​Bijapur.

Bastar Range IG Sundarraj P said that a large quantity of arms and explosives have also been recovered from the spot. The martyrs include one District Reserve Guard of the state police and another Special Task Force jawan. Two others are injured, whose condition is out of danger.

Bijapur SP Jitendra Yadav said that the number of Naxalites killed is increasing, so we cannot tell clearly how many there are. It is definitely a big operation. We have achieved great success. A large number of weapons and explosives have also been recovered. The search operation in the area is still going on.

8 Naxalites were killed on 2 February

On February 2, security forces killed 8 Naxalites in an encounter in Gangaluur police station area of ​​Bijapur district. All the Maoists killed were male Naxalites. Around 800-1000 security personnel had surrounded the Naxalites of PLGA Company No. 2. Big leaders were also among them. The force recovered 303, 12 bore, BGL launcher along with INSAS from the spot.

20 days ago, 16 Naxalites were killed in Gariaband

There was an encounter in the jungle of Gariaband district on 20-21 January. 16 Naxalites were killed in this operation which lasted for about 80 hours. Out of these, a total reward of Rs 3 crore 16 lakh was declared on 12 Naxalites. Chalpati, a member of the Central Committee of Naxalites, is also among the killed Naxalites.

There was a bounty of 90 lakhs on Chalpati alone. Satyam Gawade, the head of Nuapada-Gariaband-Dhamtari division committee, was also killed in the encounter.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai posted

In a post on social media platform X, CM Vishnu Dev Sai wrote, ‘Security forces had an encounter with Naxalites in the National Park area of ​​​​Bijapur district. There is also sad news of 2 soldiers martyred and 2 injured in the encounter. The sacrifice of the soldiers will not go in vain.

Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, our state will be Naxal-free by March 2026. In this direction, the security forces are continuously achieving success and moving rapidly towards the goal. The end of Naxalism in the form of cancer in the country and state is certain. I pray to God for the peace of the souls of the martyred soldiers and to provide strength to the families and for the speedy recovery of the injured soldiers.

On the Bijapur encounter, former Deputy CM TS Singhdeo said that action is being taken and it is also being publicized. Our goal is that the state and the country should get rid of the Naxal problem. Strict action is being taken in that direction. If violence is not abandoned and people adopt the path of violence, then even the government will not have any option.
