Raipur: The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh has made several significant announcements for workers in the unorganized sector. At a workers’ convention held at the indoor stadium in the capital, Raipur, the Chief Minister announced an increase in the financial assistance provided for purchasing e-rickshaws.
The government has announced that the subsidy for purchasing e-rickshaws will be raised from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh. This will provide financial support to workers planning to buy e-rickshaws.
Laborer Public Convenience Centers to be set up in cities
The Chief Minister also announced the establishment of ‘Laborer Public Convenience Centers’ in various cities across the state. The plan is to provide workers with access to various essential services at a single location through these centers. This will make it easier for them to avail themselves of various government services and welfare schemes.
E-bike assistance scheme to be launched
To facilitate the commute of workers, the government will also launch an e-bike assistance scheme. This scheme aims to assist in providing workers with a means of transportation.
The Chief Minister stated that the government’s objective is to make workers financially strong while also making their lives more convenient. Several schemes and facilities are being advanced in the interest of workers with this goal in mind.
