CG Employment Scheme: The state government has taken a big step to promote employment generation along with industrial investment in the state. The government has implemented Chhattisgarh Industrial Employment and Training Grant Rules 2025. Under this new system, grants will be given to such industries, which will provide employment to the local youth and also provide them training. For this, resident certificate of the local youth will be mandatory. The main objective of the new policy is to create more employment opportunities for the natives of the state, create skilled human resources in industries and attract investments. Especially the industries providing employment to the disabled, retired firefighters, surrendered Naxalites and Naxal affected persons will also be encouraged.
Registration in EPFO is necessary
As per the rules, only those industrial units which have started production or service activity will be eligible for the grant. Also, EPFO registration of employees working in the industry will be mandatory. Training stipend reimbursement will be given to an employee only once in his lifetime, whereas employment grant can be given for a maximum of 5 years. The government has kept the application process completely online. Industries will have to submit necessary documents including domicile certificate, appointment order, documents related to salary payment and EPFO registration certificate. If any deficiency is found in the application, an opportunity for correction will be given within 15 days.
Recovery will be made for giving wrong information
It has also been made clear in the rules that if an industry receives a grant by giving wrong information or does not follow the prescribed rules, then the entire amount along with 12.5 percent annual interest will be recovered from it. Also, it will be mandatory for the subsidized industries to provide employment to local residents in prescribed proportion for at least five years. Experts believe that this new system will create new employment opportunities along with industrial development in the state. This will reduce migration of local youth and will also give a new direction to skill development.
Grant will be given in two installments
The training grant will be released in two installments. The first installment will be received after the employee completes one year and the second installment after six months.The grant amount will be decided on the basis of the average monthly salary of the employee. The government has clarified that the grant amount will be released directly through online mode as per the budget availability.
