CG Folk Artist Scheme 2026: The state government has taken a significant step to preserve Chhattisgarh’s rich folk art, culture, and traditions. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the Directorate of Culture and Official Language has invited applications from the state’s folk artists for the ‘Chief Minister Folk Artist Encouragement Scheme-2026’ (Mukhyamantri Lok Kalakar Protsahan Yojana-2026). Through this scheme, eligible artists will receive an annual incentive ranging from ₹12,000 to ₹24,000. The government’s objective is to provide financial support to folk artists while also passing on the state’s traditional art, folk culture, and cultural heritage to the new generation. The application process has commenced, and interested artists can apply using the prescribed format.
New Support for Folk Art and Culture
Chhattisgarh is renowned across the country for its rich folk traditions, folk dances, folk songs, and traditional art forms.
