Appointment of Court Managers: The Chhattisgarh High Court has issued orders for the appointment of Court Managers across various district courts in the state. Following the completion of the recruitment process, High Court Registrar General Rajnish Srivastava issued the appointment orders on August 25, 2026. Under this initiative, Court Managers have been posted at the High Court and in 20 district courts across the state. Applications for these positions were invited a few months ago; after screening the applications, an examination was conducted for eligible candidates. Following the release of the selection list of successful candidates, their appointments and postings have now been finalized.
Court Manager Vacancies: Where have the 20 Court Managers been posted?
According to the issued order, Ankit Kumar Jha has been posted as a Court Manager at the High Court. Additionally, Udayan Dubey has been appointed to the Durg District Court, and Sanyogita Singh to the Commercial Court in Raipur. Ramakant Patel has been posted to the Ambikapur District Court, Viraj Kumar Dewangan to Korba, Rahul Verma to Koriya, Abhijit Rath to Mahasamund, and Praveen Kumar to the Ramanujganj District Court. Ashutosh Kumar has been assigned to Bemetara, Nidhi Nagvanshi to Bilaspur, and Richa Pathak to the Dhamtari District Court.
Furthermore, Vijay Kumar Sahu has been posted to Kawardha, Manoj Kumar Singh to Raipur, Pratibha Lakra to Kanker, Bampi Dubey to Rajnandgaon, and Komal Bhoi to the Jagdalpur District Court. Shailendra Singh Bhaskar has been appointed as Court Manager at the Dantewada District Court, Kamlesh Kumar Gorkar at Kondagaon, Devendra Bhagat at Surajpur, and Gopal Singh Netam at the Jashpur District Court.
Appointments to 19 Peon Posts
The High Court has also completed the process of filling vacant positions for daily-wage employees paid from the contingency fund. Under this process, orders have been issued to appoint 19 applicants to the post of Peon. Appointed employees have been instructed to report to their respective offices and assume charge within the stipulated timeframe. Three-Year Probation Period
The appointment of the Court Managers will be subject to a three-year probation period. If an employee fails to successfully complete the probation period, it may be extended by up to one year. The employee will be considered to be on probation until a permanent appointment is confirmed. During the probation period, services may be terminated without assigning a reason, if deemed necessary. If an employee wishes to resign, they must provide one month’s notice to the Registry. In the event of immediate resignation, an amount equivalent to one month’s salary must be deposited. Similarly, if the employer terminates the employee’s services, one month’s prior notice will be given, or the employee may be relieved immediately upon payment of one month’s salary in lieu of notice.
Must Join by September 3
Selected candidates are mandatorily required to assume charge at their designated place of posting by September 3, 2026. Failure to join within the stipulated timeframe—or to obtain permission for an extension—may result in the forfeiture of eligibility for the appointment. Upon assuming charge, candidates must also submit a fitness certificate issued by the Chief Medical Officer. The candidate must bear the cost associated with obtaining this certificate. If the report from the competent medical officer finds the candidate to be physically or mentally unfit, the appointment order may be cancelled.
