Liquor shops will remain closed for one day this month; therefore, if you are planning to purchase liquor, please read this information first. All liquor shops will remain closed on August 15, 2026 (Saturday), and the sale of liquor will be completely suspended on this day. If you intend to buy liquor, you should plan accordingly to avoid returning empty-handed after visiting a shop.
In compliance with the directives of the Excise Commissioner, Chhattisgarh (Nava Raipur), and exercising the powers conferred under Section 24, Sub-section (1) of the Chhattisgarh Excise Act, 1915, Korea District Collector and District Magistrate Roktima Yadav has declared a ‘dry day’ in the district on August 15, 2026 (Saturday), to mark Independence Day.
According to the issued order, all retail outlets for country-made, foreign, composite, and premium liquor, as well as FL-3(c) (tourism bars), FL-4(a) (commercial clubs), and ahatas (attached drinking areas) in Korea district, will remain completely closed on August 15, 2026. The Collector has directed the concerned officials and operators to ensure strict compliance with the order. Any violation of the order will attract necessary action in accordance with the rules.
