Raipur: People registering land and houses in the capital, Raipur, may soon benefit from a major convenience. In view of the constantly increasing crowds at registry offices and the inconvenience faced by citizens, the administration is preparing to open seven new registry offices. Once these new offices become operational, the plan is to provide land and house registration facilities at a total of 14 locations across Raipur. This will enable residents, especially those in outlying and rural areas, to complete their registrations at a center closer to home.
Property registration activity following the sale and purchase of land and houses is steadily rising in the capital. According to available data, approximately 400 properties are registered daily in Raipur. Due to the high volume of applications, existing registry offices remain crowded, and many applicants face long waits for their turn.
This inconvenience is compounded for people traveling from distant areas; they must cover long distances to complete the registration process, resulting in increased travel time and expenses. The implementation of the new system aims to alleviate these issues.
New Registry Centers to be Established in Outlying Areas
The administration has begun scouting for suitable buildings in the city’s outskirts for the new registry offices. Proposed locations include areas such as Tatibandh-Hirapur, Amlidih-Avanti Vihar, and Birgaon-Siltara. Establishing centers in these localities will reduce the need for nearby residents to travel to existing city offices for registration purposes.
