Chhattisgarh Jobs: Placing the youth at the heart of the state’s development, the Chhattisgarh government is rapidly expanding opportunities in skill development, employment, higher education, entrepreneurship, and sports. Over the past three years, the government has implemented several key schemes to make the youth capable, employable, and self-reliant, aiming to transform the state’s youth power into a workforce prepared for the future economy. The Chief Minister stated that the youth are Chhattisgarh’s greatest strength and the hope for the future. Providing quality education, skills, opportunities, and a transparent system to every young person is the government’s top priority. Youth empowerment forms the cornerstone of the vision for a ‘Developed Chhattisgarh’.
Transparent Recruitment and Free Coaching
Under this youth-centric agenda, the process of direct recruitment for approximately 9,000 vacant government posts is underway. The ‘Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board’ has been constituted to ensure transparent and time-bound recruitment for Class-3 and Class-4 positions. Meanwhile, a new initiative has been launched for youth preparing for competitive examinations; with an allocation of ₹33 crore, free coaching is being provided for exams such as NEET, JEE, CLAT, UPSC, CGPSC, Banking, SSC, and Railways.
Expansion of Skill Development and Higher Education
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana, 18,330 youths across 26 districts have already been trained at a cost of ₹29 crore, with a target to train another 35,000 youths. An additional provision of ₹75 crore has been made for training aligned with industry demands.
Increase in Higher Education Budget
The higher education budget has been increased by 50%, reaching ₹1,822.75 crore for the year 2025-26. Five colleges located in Jashpur, Raipur, Durg, Baloda Bazar, and Raigarh are being developed into ‘Centres of Excellence’. ‘CGITs’ have been established in Kawardha, Jashpur, Raigarh, and Jagdalpur on the lines of IITs, and they will soon be expanded to Raipur, Bilaspur, and Durg as well.
