Raipur: On the occasion of the national festival of Independence Day, Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh hoisted the national flag today within the Collectorate premises in a dignified ceremony. Following the flag-hoisting, he paid tribute by garlanding the statue of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and extended his heartfelt Independence Day greetings to all officials, employees, and residents of the district. Speaking on the occasion, Collector Dr. Singh remarked that Independence Day is a moment of pride and joy for everyone.
It was on this very day that our country gained independence, granting its citizens the right to live in a free environment. He noted that this day inspires us to remember the sacrifices, struggles, and valor of the great freedom fighters and brave martyrs who made an independent India possible for us.
Collector Dr. Singh urged everyone to pledge, on this auspicious occasion, to discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them by the administration with utmost sincerity, honesty, and dedication. Serving the general public and addressing their grievances with sensitivity must remain our top priority. He also wished for the health and happiness of all officials, employees, and their families. Senior officials and staff from various departments, including Zila Panchayat CEO Kumar Bishwaranjan, were present at the event.
