Ex-Servicemen Recruitment: The Sai government of Chhattisgarh has taken a significant decision regarding government posts reserved for ex-servicemen. Under direct recruitment, if no eligible ex-serviceman candidate is found for a reserved post, that post will no longer be carried forward to the next recruitment year. Instead, such posts may be filled during the same recruitment year based on the merit of other eligible candidates.
The General Administration Department has issued an order to this effect. According to the notification issued by the department, this provision has been made under Sub-rule 3 of Rule 4 of the Chhattisgarh Ex-Servicemen (Reservation of Vacancies in State Civil Services and Posts, Class III and Class IV) Rules, 1985.
As per the order, if no eligible ex-serviceman candidate is available for a post reserved for them during direct recruitment, the post may be filled by other eligible candidates within the same recruitment process, rather than being held over for the next recruitment year.
No NOC Required
Under the government’s new provision, there will be no requirement to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the State Sainik Welfare Board or any other office to fill such posts with other eligible candidates.
This government decision will alter the recruitment process for posts reserved for ex-servicemen; instead of keeping vacant posts unfilled for extended periods, they can be filled by other eligible candidates within the same recruitment year.त्र अभ्यर्थियों से भरने का रास्ता साफ होगा।
