On August 13, 2026, the Finance Department formally approved the proposal for the direct recruitment of 50 Supervisors. Subsequently, the Department of Women and Child Development issued the necessary orders, paving the way for the recruitment process.
Supervisor Posts Were Vacant for a Long Time
Supervisors play a crucial role in taking the schemes of the Department of Women and Child Development to the grassroots level. In addition to overseeing the operations of Anganwadi centers, Supervisors monitor the implementation of nutrition campaigns, schemes related to women and children, and various social programs. The prolonged vacancy of these posts had placed an additional workload on existing employees and officers. The appointment of 50 new Supervisors is now expected to ease the burden on the department’s field operations.
Path Cleared After Finance Department’s Consent
According to reports, the Directorate of Women and Child Development had sought government permission to fill the vacant Supervisor posts. The proposal was advanced at the departmental level, and the process was expedited following the Minister’s directives. Subsequently, on August 13, 2026, the Finance Department granted its consent for the recruitment of 50 Supervisors. With the completion of financial and administrative formalities, the next phase of the recruitment process for these posts is now expected to begin.
