Raipur: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has provided significant relief to students who appeared for the High School (Class 10) and Higher Secondary (Class 12) Second Main Examination in 2026. The Board has issued directives to schools to grant admission to both successful and unsuccessful students, subject to prescribed eligibility criteria. Students have been given until August 27, 2026, to secure admission. Orders regarding this have been issued to the principals of all schools.
Exam Results Released on August 13
The results for the High School and Higher Secondary Second Main Examination (2026) were declared by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education on August 13, 2026. The Board has now issued instructions to the principals of all recognized schools regarding student admissions based on these results. According to the directives, admission may be granted until August 27, 2026, to students who passed or failed the High School Second Main Examination, as well as those who passed (for grade improvement) or failed the Higher Secondary Second Main Examination. The Board has clarified that the concerned institution or principal must verify the student’s eligibility before granting admission; no ineligible student should be admitted to the institution.

Schools are mandatorily required to enter the details of admitted students on the online portal by August 31, 2026.
